How does your session relate to the event themes: Collaboration of the Open?*

We will be leading a collaborative training/workshop on Event Registration, a tool that is all about how people can organize and come together in the movement. With Event Registration, organizers can more easily manage events they organize, such as campaigns, edit-a-thons, writing & photo contests, trainings, and meetups. They can register participants on the wikis, allow them to register publicly or privately, communicate with them via wikimail, collect optional demographic information, and more. This way, they can lead more impactful, inclusive, and inspiring events that can bring people together in the spirit of collaboration and open knowledge.

We will also be collecting feedback on other tools need to be built & improved for community collaboration and organizing in the movement, for things like events & WikiProjects.
